About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freelance Schools Specialist to join our team at the Royal Opera House. As a key member of our National Schools Programme, you will play a vital role in empowering teachers to inspire creativity in children and young people through music, dance, and design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit local schools to our National Schools Programme, building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting planning for the ongoing direction and legacy of the partnership.
  • Connect local organisations with our National Schools Partnerships Manager, fostering collaboration and driving creative learning initiatives.
  • Support the development of creative and cultural learning opportunities in primary schools, working closely with teachers and education professionals to deliver high-quality arts-based learning experiences.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of local primary schools and connections within the education sector, either through previous work in education or as a creative practitioner.
  • Knowledge of and connections to key stakeholders in local creative education, including arts and cultural organisations and local creative and education networks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and able to maintain accurate records.
