About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freelance Schools Specialist to join our team at the Royal Opera House. As a key member of our National Schools Programme, you will play a vital role in empowering teachers to inspire creativity in children and young people through music, dance, and design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and engage with local primary schools in North Northamptonshire, East Riding, and Warrington to participate in our National Schools Programme.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local arts and cultural organisations, as well as creative and education networks.
  • Support the planning and direction of the partnership, ensuring its ongoing success and legacy.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of and connections within local primary schools, preferably through previous work in education or as a creative practitioner.
  • Knowledge of and connections to key stakeholders in local creative education, including arts and cultural organisations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and able to maintain accurate records.
