Job Title: Freelance Schools Specialist, National Schools Programme

The Royal Opera House is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their National Schools Programme as a Freelance Schools Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mission to inspire creativity in children and young people through music, dance, and design, showcasing the exceptional artistry of the Royal Opera House.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for engaging with primary schools in designated areas, bringing the Create & Dance, Create & Sing, and Create & Design strands to schools free of charge. Your primary objective will be to expand the reach of the ROH National Schools Programme, fostering partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Local School Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with state-funded primary schools in designated areas, promoting the National Schools Programme and its benefits.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with local organizations, educational institutions, and community groups to build a strong network of supporters and advocates for the programme.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the programme's future direction and sustainability, ensuring its continued growth and impact.

Requirements:

  • Strong Network: Possess a strong network within local primary schools, educational institutions, and community groups.
  • Education or Creative Arts Experience: Have experience in education or the creative arts, with a deep understanding of the importance of creative learning in primary schools.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Be an excellent communicator, able to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and promote the programme's benefits.
