Role Overview
Location: Hexham TS and HWRC site
Competitive hourly rate Full-time position with 47.5 hours per week Internal candidates may consider a temporary secondment.Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for operating loading shovels and managing the loading of various vehicle types, including bulk haulage walking floors and roll-on/roll-off containers.
Your tasks will include:
Ensuring safe and efficient operations. Performing pre-operational safety checks and operator inspections. Conducting daily maintenance and checks on mobile equipment. Guiding customer vehicles to designated disposal areas and assisting with unloading as necessary. Supporting Sampling Operatives in the collection of output samples. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the site. Assisting site personnel with various tasks, including site clean-up activities. Contributing to lean initiatives and 5S practices to uphold a tidy and efficient workplace. Collaborating with team members to ensure a cost-effective and efficient operation. Performing any other reasonable duties as requested within the scope of the role.Qualifications
We are particularly interested in candidates with proven experience as a plant operator and relevant certifications. A proactive team player is essential, as you will work closely with the existing site team to enhance operational standards. Flexibility in your work approach is beneficial, as you may be required to cover for colleagues during absences. A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to embrace change for continuous improvement is expected. Previous experience in the waste management sector or similar high-volume production environments is advantageous but not mandatory.About SUEZ
