About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our secondary schools during staff absences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Implement lesson plans and maintain student engagement, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Manage classroom behavior, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials, supporting teachers in their planning and delivery.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and classroom management, contributing to the development of our educational programs.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers, students, and other staff members.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable, but not essential; we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a passion for education.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to challenges, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and services.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.
