About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting our secondary schools during staff absences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Implement lesson plans and maintain student focus on pre-set work.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and provide feedback to teachers on student progress and classroom management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to challenges.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
