About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our secondary schools during staff absences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Implement lesson plans and ensure students stay on task, promoting academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials, supporting the development of engaging and effective teaching resources.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and classroom management, contributing to the improvement of teaching practices.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable, but not essential; we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills and a passion for education.
  • A proactive and resilient approach to challenges, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one, ensuring the safeguarding of children and young people.
