About the Role

We Are With You is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Harm Reduction Lead to join our team in Liverpool. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in the development and delivery of our Harm Reduction services, providing support, information, and advice to individuals in relation to reducing drug and alcohol-related harm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Harm Reduction service, working closely with an Advanced Practitioner and a team of experienced Recovery Workers.
  • Develop and implement harm minimization interventions, including needle exchange provision and mobile needle exchange services.
  • Provide assessment, care planning, and key working services to clients, using a solution-focused brief therapy approach.
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage priorities and work under pressure, making reasoned decisions without immediate managerial guidance.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of harm minimization interventions, assessment, care planning, and key working.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in health and social care, criminal justice, or a relevant setting.
  • ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Successful track record of working with substance misuse clients.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for clients.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Resilient, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital media.
