About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Altcourse, a Category B men's prison and Young Offender Institution in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool in Merseyside.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality healthcare to a diverse group of patients, including those with complex needs and histories of substance misuse.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients' requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide a comprehensive and specialist resource to patients.
- Participate in clinical governance and effectiveness activities to ensure the highest standards of care.

- A competitive annual salary up to £114,490 per annum FTE (pro rata if fewer than 10 sessions are contracted), depending on experience.

Requirements
- MBChB or MBBS qualification.
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List.
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal.
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse.
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications.
