Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recovery Specialist to join our team at the Forward Trust. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance misuse and addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver brief interventions, psycho-social groups, and abstinence-focused work to support individuals in recovery.
  • Manage a small caseload, providing harm reduction advice and guidance, conducting assessments, and devising care plans.
  • Signpost clients to the wider treatment system and local support agencies as needed.
  • Input client information into Forward Trust's case management systems.

Requirements:

  • A passion for helping people change and a commitment to supporting individuals in recovery.
  • Experience working within or knowledge of substance misuse services.
  • Experience carrying out comprehensive assessments, designing, and implementing SMART care plans.
  • Experience delivering structured interventions and facilitating therapeutic groups.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Experience working with IT applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
