About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of referrals and admissions to our service, utilizing your expertise to diagnose and formulate management plans for complex presentations.
  • Provide consultative, supervisory, and supportive roles to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective care delivery.
  • Lead clinical decision-making in the multidisciplinary team, driving the delivery of high-quality care and ensuring adherence to national and professional guidelines.
  • Develop and implement service clinical priorities, engaging with service transformation programs and contributing to the development of our mental health services.
  • Provide clinical supervision to trainees, fostering their growth and development in core psychiatric experience and competencies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Medical Degree and Specialist Register status with the GMC.
  • MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (desirable).
  • Approved Clinician status (desirable).
