Key Responsibilities

The primary role involves executing general cleaning and associated tasks to a high standard, adhering to the guidelines outlined in the daily operational schedule. The aim is to uphold a clean, deep-cleaned, and hygienic environment for staff and visitors alike.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing cleaning and domestic tasks throughout the laundry and adjacent areas as required.
  • Maintaining and cleaning the laundry shop floor and equipment to established standards and frequencies.
  • Following specialized cleaning protocols and color coding systems in designated areas as instructed, ensuring a high level of sterilization to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
  • Adhering to safe working practices at all times, executing duties in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and COSHH procedures, along with all relevant statutory guidelines.
  • Ensuring that all electrical appliances and domestic cleaning equipment used during duties are thoroughly cleaned and maintained appropriately, with any faults reported to the Linen Service Floor Manager.
  • Restocking disposable and consumer items as necessary and notifying the Supervisor of high usage or losses.

Job Requirements

This position is open to individuals who possess a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those currently enrolled in a program that will lead to obtaining their full NMC PIN within the next three months. Please note that an NMC PRN PIN does not qualify as a full NMC PIN and does not meet the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA is currently unable to accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who have not completed all competencies required for a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK, as our OSCE program is on hold indefinitely.
