About Service Care Solutions & The Role
Service Care Solutions is a prominent provider of precision engineering services, delivering high-quality machined components tailored for the Aerospace sector. With a focus on excellence and technological advancement, we take pride in our dedicated workforce and innovative practices. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a knowledgeable Quality Inspector who possesses a solid grasp of AS9100 standards and First Article Inspection (FAIR).
Role Overview:
In the position of Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for examining both in-process and completed products, utilizing various mechanical measurement tools and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to confirm adherence to technical specifications, customer expectations, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and validations of components throughout all phases of the manufacturing process for diverse precision machined parts.
- Perform First Article Inspection Reporting (FAIR) to ensure compliance.
- Verify that all manufactured items meet the specified drawings and requirements.
- Identify and document non-conformances effectively.
- Engage in Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions, ensuring proper rework of components as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve quality and production objectives.
- Handle customer returns, maintaining effective communication with external clients to foster positive relationships and resolve any non-conformance issues.
- Assist in compiling and reporting monthly quality statistics.
Experience Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a comparable role within a Precision Engineering Aerospace environment.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR AS9102).
- Proficient in the use of Mechanical Measurement Equipment (such as Verniers, micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) and CMM.
- Experience in conducting first-off, stage, and final inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with AS13002 implementation, including measurement system analysis and Statistical Process Control, is highly advantageous.
