Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our Research and Development team at Allen & Heath Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating digital electronic hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Digital Electronic Hardware Design and Development
    • Design and develop high-speed digital systems, including logic, timing, and signal integrity.
    • Develop microprocessor and microcontroller-based systems, including DSP, FPGA, CPLD, and memory.
    • Design digital serial communications systems, including SPI, ADC, DAC, and logic and memory device interfaces.
    • Develop control surface electronics, including rotary encoders, touch screen technology, USB, and Ethernet peripherals.
  2. Cost and Manufacture Design Analysis
  3. Circuit Schematic and PCB Layout
    • Design circuit schematics and advise on PCB layout, with a focus on space and cost critical designs.
  4. Circuit/PCB Prototype Evaluation
    • Evaluate circuit and PCB prototypes, including signal integrity, general electrical noise, EMC, and power behavior.
  5. Liaison with Production Engineering
    • Liaise with production engineering teams, including engineering change documentation and advising on test strategy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electronic Engineering or a suitable equivalent in the field.
  • Experience in high-speed digital design, including logic, timing, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of microprocessor and microcontroller design, including DSP, FPGA, CPLD, and memory.
  • Experience in digital serial communications, including SPI, ADC, DAC, and logic and memory device interfaces.
  • Knowledge of control surface electronics, including rotary encoders, touch screen technology, USB, and Ethernet peripherals.
  • Experience in circuit schematic design, ideally using Altium.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A desire to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.
