Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our Research and Development team at Allen & Heath Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for our exciting new digital audio mixing products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop software to a high standard, ensuring it meets the required specifications and quality standards.
  2. Test and debug code methodically, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
  3. Develop software features for new and existing products, working closely with the team to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree or HND in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent knowledge.
  2. Strong programming skills in C, with experience working on embedded systems.
  3. Ability to read circuit schematics and understand electronic concepts.
  4. Experience programming Cortex/ARM/Freescale/PIC processors.
  5. Electronic skills at component level, including soldering and use of oscilloscopes.
  6. Understanding of serial communications and USB protocols.
  7. C++ programming skills.
  8. Object-Oriented Software analysis and design skills.
  9. Understanding of audio concepts and some experience or interest in audio.
Personal Qualities

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a team and on self-directed project work. You should be able to use your own initiative, enjoy problem-solving, and have good communication skills to liaise with personnel at all levels. A flexible approach to working hours is essential.

Location

We are based in Cornwall, and we would prefer candidates who are willing to relocate to this area.
