About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at United Response. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mild learning disabilities to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide active support to individuals with mild learning disabilities, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Help individuals with evening and morning routines, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of the individuals we support, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our service users.
Requirements
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in using computers and software applications.
  • A full driver's license, as you will be required to transport individuals as part of your role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, colleagues, and families.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to treating individuals with dignity and respect.
