Safety Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Engineer to join our Research and Development team at Allen & Heath Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and electromagnetic compatibility of our audio electronics products.
Your primary focus will be on compiling test reports and documentation, checking product design safety criteria, and liaising with external safety and EMC agencies. You will also be responsible for assisting distributors with safety queries, providing support for local safety approvals, and issuing Declaration of Conformity documents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying the safety of new and alternative safety-critical components
- Providing support for local safety approvals and assisting distributors with safety queries
- Issuing Declaration of Conformity documents (e.g., CE, FCC, PSTI, UKCA)
- Updating the company website's Legal and Regulatory section with compliance documentation
- Uploading compliance documentation to the A&H Resource Space
- Updating safety instruction booklets with new languages and regulatory clauses
- Compiling safety approval information, including application forms and diagrams, for submission to testing agencies
- Resolving safety agency queries and non-compliances
- Reviewing and checking draft safety reports
- Ensuring product designs are updated for approval
- Verifying the safety of PCBs, including tracking creepages and clearances
- Compiling annual ETL lists of unlisted components
- Issuing annual POs for ETL number licenses
- Issuing ECNs regarding safety and checking and signing ECNs for safety
- Preparing product ranges for issue safety updates
- Verifying new and alternative power supply approvals and battery regulations
- Compiling annual battery data and assisting the sales department with battery shipping queries
Requirements:
- HND/Degree in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent related qualification in Engineering/Physics
- Desirable experience in safety compliance approvals for electronic products, electro-magnetic compatibility compliance testing and conformity, EMC test measurements, and documentation and report preparation of EMC results
