About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigator to join our team at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As an Investigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of the UK's financial markets by investigating potential misconduct by regulated firms and individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into potential misconduct, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address systemic issues and governance failures.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to prevent and detect financial crime, including fraud and misconduct related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) systems and controls.
  • Prepare and present case documents, including witness statements, civil orders, and statutory notices, to support regulatory actions.
  • Provide legal advice to investigation teams and take responsibility for the preparation of privileged correspondence, as needed.
