Job Title: Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Goldstar Heathrow. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our company, ensuring that we deliver high-quality services to our customers and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the operation team, supporting and encouraging them to manage their own learning and creating a team working environment.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Goldstar Heathrow, including overseeing the order process to maintain standard KPIs.
  • Act as a key operations leader, building relationships with clients through constant contact and advocacy, offering advice, solutions, and proactive issue management.
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Conduct necessary investigations to determine the cause of problems and set up safety measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve company profit and maintain an open dialogue with other units' managers to enhance company performance.
  • Ensure that all staff under their supervision behave in accordance with the company's handbook, procedures, and values, and that performance issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the daily running of the centers, including overall responsibility for H&S, and organize meetings to share strategy and provide product/organizational updates and branch performance.
  • Provide customer information and perform other tasks associated with routine operations, including data analysis and oversight of Goldstar schedule and operations.
  • Cross-functional work within other departments of Goldstar and customers, ensuring maximum productivity and route management systems, and establishing productivity goals where needed.
  • Ensure continuous review and improvement of operational processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, and develop personnel to ensure appropriate backup/successors in all key positions.
  • Deliver upon contract service level agreements, expectations, and value proposition, monitoring, improving, and reporting upon key performance indicators, including financial performance of accounts and team productivity.
  • Develop a best-in-class team and workplace culture, effectively managing performance and talent development, and responding to complex inquiries and complaints about transit and operational issues.
  • Review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working order and properly maintained, and scheduling staff to ensure that vehicles are staffed according to established requirements.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in managing operations would be handy.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Experience conducting reviews and people management.
  • Experience customer-facing skills and telephone manners.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and ability to motivate others.
  • Adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good leadership skills and team worker.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Good negotiation skills and excellent decision-making ability.
  • Good customer service skills to maintain/retain existing customers.
