Job Summary

MW Appointments is seeking a skilled Claims Handler to join our team. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring that claims are handled efficiently and that payment for valid claims is made to policyholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claim Handling: Manage claims from start to settlement, including processing new insurance claims notifications, collecting accurate information and documents, and analysing claims made by policyholders.
  • Customer Communication: Guide policyholders on how to proceed with claims, and contact third-party services as required.
  • Fraud Detection: Recognise potentially fraudulent claims and understand the process to follow and who to inform.
  • Settlement and Resolution: Ensure fair settlement of claims and understand cases where full payment may not be made.
  • Complaint Handling: Identify and handle customer complaints within the Company's complaints procedure.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and experience in handling Personal Lines and Commercial claims, including Property, Liability, and Motor Fleet.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polite telephone manner and excellent organisational skills.
  • Technical Skills: Confident with all relevant MS Office packages and OGi system.
