Harrison Holgate is seeking a highly skilled Claims Handler to join our team in a Motor/Personal Injury Claims Handler position. As a Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing claims through various portals, negotiating settlements, and communicating with brokers, solicitors, and adjusters.
Key Responsibilities- Apply company reserving philosophy to manage claims effectively
- Manage claims through applicable portals, ensuring timely and efficient resolution
- Negotiate policyholder and third-party claims to settlement, including personal injury claims
- Communicate with brokers, solicitors, and adjusters to ensure seamless claim processing
- Assist with internal and external audit processes to maintain compliance and quality
- Liaise with underwriters on claims issues, providing expert advice and guidance
- Knowledge of coverage's, benefits, and exclusions
- Good understanding of legal liability and supporting case law
- Understanding and application of legal and regulatory issues relating to policy wordings
- Understanding of the MoJ reforms, RTA, and Credit Hire
- Experience of personal injury evaluation tools
- Experience of handling PI claims in both portals and outside
