Job Opportunity: Internal Sales Account Manager
We are seeking a skilled Sales Professional to join our team at A for Appointments, a well-established engineering business based in the UK. As an Internal Sales Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing new and existing business sales in the mechanical engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business leads and opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Assist in the production of technical quotations and proposals
- Engage with prospects to identify needs and opportunities
- Secure enquiries for suitable contracts
- Follow-up on submitted proposals and quotations to prospects
- Negotiate and resolve any objections to the submitted proposal/quotation
- Convert proposals and quotations to orders
- Ensure the CRM system is utilised and updated to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain customer relationships to build repeat business
Requirements:
- Background in heavy machinery, laser cutting, and CNC sectors
- Technical understanding of products and processes
- Ability to drive sales and build strong client relationships
- Strong prospecting and sales experience
- Track record of selling into relevant sectors
- Experience of selling bespoke/high volume contracts
- Experience of negotiating contracts
- Mechanical engineering background or qualification
- Experience within the sector is essential, ideally fabrication and machining
