Cognitive Behavioral Therapist

Position Overview
A significant number of individuals recovering from Covid-19 are encountering a range of persistent physical health challenges. Approximately one-third of those who contracted the virus also report experiencing psychological or neuropsychological difficulties. These issues may present as depression, anxiety, cognitive deficits, or trauma-related symptoms. Our comprehensive service is dedicated to providing psychological assistance for patients grappling with intricate physical and mental health concerns following COVID-19. We are looking for candidates primarily based in Oldham who possess experience in managing long-term health conditions and ideally hold a core qualification. We also welcome applications from CBT therapists eager to develop their expertise in addressing physical health issues.
The service has evolved beyond a sole focus on Post-Covid cases due to the cessation of testing, and now operates under a wider service framework that is still being refined.
Key Responsibilities
Located in Oldham, the therapist will engage in both in-person and virtual sessions, working collaboratively with the integrated physical and mental health multidisciplinary teams for post-COVID rehabilitation.
As the mental health representative within the multidisciplinary team, you will offer guidance and support to our physical health colleagues in meeting the mental health needs of patients utilizing the service.
Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of patients with concurrent physical and psychological challenges, conducting evaluations, developing care plans, and providing therapeutic interventions.
About Our Organization
We take pride in delivering high-quality mental health and learning disability services across multiple boroughs in Greater Manchester. Our mission is to foster happier and more hopeful lives within our communities, and our dedicated staff are committed to providing exceptional care to our service users. We are immensely proud of our team, known as #PennineCarePeople, and are dedicated to cultivating a positive work environment.
We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply for this position, regardless of race, age, disability, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs. We also welcome applications from individuals with personal experiences of mental health challenges, whether as individuals or caregivers.
