About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Area Supervisor at Marks & Spencer Plc. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving customer experience, and leading a team of customer assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Growth and Profitability
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability in your area of accountability.
    • Work closely with the store leadership team to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of customer assistants.
    • Provide coaching and guidance to help team members achieve their full potential.
  • Customer Experience and Safety
    • Ensure that customers receive an exceptional shopping experience in-store.
    • Maintain a safe and legal store environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee the efficient operation of the store, including stock management, visual merchandising, and inventory control.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to drive efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management Experience
    • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and achieving business objectives.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Commercial and Operational Knowledge
    • Excellent understanding of commercial, visual, operational, and people processes and systems.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
    • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
