Job Title: Area Supervisor

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Supervisor to join our team. As an Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality facilities management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance and repair of client sites, including coordination with external contractors and in-house teams.
  • Maintain all electrical and mechanical plant and services to industry standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractor activities, including risk assessments, method statements, and QHSE permitting.
  • Liaise with clients and Contract Managers to plan and organize works that may impact business activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on site maintenance issues.
  • Manage costs related to maintenance activities, working with Contract Managers to identify replacements and obtain quotations.
  • Provide operational management reports to clients and Contract Managers, as required.
  • Participate in emergency response escalation processes and escalate urgent issues to Contract Managers.
  • Support cost-effective procurement of engineering maintenance services, operating within annual engineering budgets.
  • Maintain electrical and mechanical plant and services to industry standards, responding to customer requests in compliance with agreed service levels.
Requirements:
  • Recognized 3rd-level qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Proven track record in overseeing the maintenance of detailed mechanical and electrical building services.
  • BMS Controls Experience/HVAC Experience essential.
  • Good technical knowledge, with ability to project manage and multitask.
  • Ability to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision.
  • Experience of Quality Management Systems, including ISO14001.
  • Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols.
  • IOSH or equivalent QHSE training.
  • HR training, including discipline and grievance, recruitment.
Desirable:
  • NEBOSH.
  • Fully versed in Microsoft Office programs.
  • ILM2 or ILM3.
  • Strong Technical Background.
  • Understanding of accounting principles.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 hours.
