About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Support Manager to join our team at Miquill. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food operations and making school mealtimes fun and exciting for our customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced and varied environment, overseeing the catering operations for a number of Primary & Secondary school contracts within your region. You will be responsible for leading our teams in delivering high-quality services, ensuring compliance with health and safety, food safety, and hygiene regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operations Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to our on-site teams, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to deliver exceptional services.
  • Customer Service: Create an environment of consistently fantastic customer service, exceeding company standards and providing an unforgettable experience for all visitors and diners.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, and hygiene regulations, identifying and mitigating risks to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Team Development: Provide support, guidance, and training opportunities to staff members, identifying training or development needs and implementing strategies to improve performance.
  • Business Development: Support the Area Manager in new contract mobilisations, helping to create and deliver captivating sales presentations to potential new clients and identifying new avenues for business growth.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong knowledge of food and safety legislation.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and emotional intelligence.
  • A passion for supporting and training staff, helping them to develop and progress in their careers.
  • An analytical edge, able to examine data and results, and thrive off interaction with people.
  • Experience in the hospitality/catering industry, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services and leading teams to achieve exceptional results.
