Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and understand their data requirements.
  • Analyze business workflows and conceptualize the entities involved in these processes.
  • Establish relationships among various entities and create entity relationship diagrams to illustrate these connections.
  • Define the attributes and properties of each entity to ensure clarity and distinction within the model.
  • Construct a logical data model and validate it to meet the needs of business applications and their users.
  • Convert the logical model into a physical representation, working alongside database administrators for implementation and management.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to develop an optimized, reusable semantic model, complete with metadata and lineage details.
  • Enhance the model for consistent performance outcomes.
  • Maintain comprehensive metadata that describes the structure and semantics of the data model.

Candidate Profile

  • Expertise in standard data modeling techniques, with proficiency in third normal form relational modeling. Experience in dimensional modeling is a significant advantage for analytical processing.
  • Proven track record in enterprise environments developing relational databases and models for Business Intelligence solutions, along with advanced SQL capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of modeling methodologies and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical, data profiling, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
