Nursery Deputy Manager Job Description

Gryaab AB is seeking a qualified and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at our nursery. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Child Safety and Wellbeing: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Statutory Framework Compliance: Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Medication Administration: Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
  • Child Development: Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Staff Development: Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Qualifications: Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Experience: Over 1 years' experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Desirable Qualifications: Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Desirable Experience: Over 1 years' experience of working in a management position - Desirable
