Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a prominent player in the industrial automation sector, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This role is pivotal as the company continues to grow within the UK and Ireland markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers daily to ensure projects achieve their financial and commercial objectives.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Contribute to the accurate and timely reporting of financial metrics, including PPR, CVR, and Cash Flow.
  • Prepare and negotiate valuations and final accounts.
  • Oversee the commercial management of multiple sites, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Assess and submit contract variations, negotiating final accounts with client Quantity Surveyors.
  • Provide expert advice on contract terms and conditions, particularly regarding notice periods and applications.
  • Assist the proposals team in obtaining pricing and engineering estimates.
  • Engage with clients on commercial contract matters and resolve pricing discrepancies.
  • Participate in site progress and contract review meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures during project review phases.

Position Requirements:
  • Experience in managing large-scale construction, design, and management projects.
  • Familiarity with Gas Network Transmission and NEC contracts is highly desirable.
  • Minimum qualifications: HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple small projects or a single project valued up to £10 million.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Remuneration:
  • Salary: £60,000
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Bonus Scheme: Up to 10%
  • Holiday Package: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service
  • Working Arrangement: Hybrid, with 2 days from home
  • Benefits: Life and sickness insurance, pension contributions up to 12.5% based on criteria
