The Role

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and committed individual for the position of Site Officer at Northstowe Learning Community.

In this role, you will be responsible for the security and maintenance of school facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for learning. You will primarily work at Northstowe but may occasionally assist at other locations within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the premises in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring a secure learning atmosphere.
  • Act as a health and safety point of contact, ensuring timely completion of risk assessments and inspections.
  • Oversee external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and safeguarding protocols.
  • Respond to maintenance requests through our management software.
  • Utilize the Building Management System (BMS) for efficient operation of facilities.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment as a competent handyperson.
  • Address maintenance requests promptly and effectively.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance and cleaning operations, with knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
  • Highly motivated, professional, and calm under pressure.
  • Experience in customer service and relationship building.
  • Flexible and committed to high professional standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in using IT equipment and software.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety best practices.
  • Experience in managing external contractors is preferred.
