The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable individual for the position of Site Officer within our supportive team at Northstowe Learning Community.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security and maintenance of school facilities, including furniture, fittings, and equipment. You will play a crucial role in upholding a safe physical environment, focusing on the daily management of the site.

While your base will be at Northstowe, we value flexibility and may require occasional support across other sites within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment, ensuring the premises are safe and secure for learning.
  • Act as a health and safety point of contact, ensuring timely completion of risk assessments and inspections.
  • Oversee external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Respond to maintenance requests through our management software, ensuring timely support.
  • Utilize the Building Management System (BMS) for efficient building operations.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs within your skill set.
  • Ensure prompt responses to maintenance requests from building occupants.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance, with knowledge of cleaning and health & safety practices.
  • Highly motivated, professional, and calm under pressure.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Flexibility and high professional standards are essential.
  • Proficient in using IT equipment, particularly computers.
  • Understanding of health & safety best practices.
  • Experience in managing external contractors is preferred.
