About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Risk Consultant to join our dynamic division within Howden Employee Benefits and Wellbeing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advising clients within the Asset Management industry sector on their employee benefits programs, with a focus on Group Risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client relationships and policies in Group Risk, as well as develop new opportunities across the broad spectrum of Employee Benefits.
  • Partner with specialist consultants in Healthcare and Pensions to deliver a market-leading service proposition to clients in this specific market.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of group risk policies, including death in service, income protection, critical illness, and other employee benefits.
  • Proactively build on existing external relationships with clients, prospects, and insurers to drive business growth and development.
  • Collaborate with Howden colleagues across Health & Benefits and the wider group to encourage client referrals and deliver new business proposals.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in advising clients in Group Risk, with a basic knowledge of broader Employee Benefits.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of group risk policies, primarily death in service, income protection, critical illness, and other employee benefits.
  • Experience in consultancy or administration, with the ability to create, write, and manipulate template reports.
  • CII GR1 qualified, preferred.
