About the Position:
Shorterm Group is seeking a dedicated Civil Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is a full-time permanent opportunity that offers flexible working arrangements.

Role Overview:
The Civil Structural Engineer will be an integral part of our Building Structures division, tasked with the effective and compliant execution of specific segments of structural engineering design for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Structural Engineer, providing daily engineering design support.
- Mentor and guide Assistant and Graduate Engineers or equivalent junior structural technicians throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Actively pursuing 'Chartered Engineer' status and have completed a formal training review with a recognized professional institution, or possess a suitable mentor.
- If following the 'Apprentice route', must have achieved 'Incorporated Engineer' status or, at minimum, be 'EngTech' qualified with a recognized institution.

Experience:
- Familiarity with large-scale energy transmission and distribution projects is preferred, though experience in substantial energy initiatives and heavy industrial projects will also be valued, as these competencies are transferable.

Technical Proficiency:
- With appropriate supervision, capable of addressing structural engineering challenges utilizing a range of analytical methods, including traditional hand calculations and advanced computer analysis with proprietary software.
- Develop a solid understanding of the limitations of various analytical techniques.

Software Knowledge:
- Proficient in REVIT Structure, ensuring that structural designs generated by software packages can be effectively coordinated and integrated into REVIT Structures models.
