Position Overview
As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant, you will spearhead the creation of monthly and quarterly regulatory submissions to the Financial Conduct Authority, Bank of England, and other pertinent organizations.
Reporting directly to the Personal Finance Financial Controller and collaborating with various stakeholders, you will oversee the Group's Regulatory Reporting while identifying opportunities for process enhancements and improvements related to regulatory aspects of the Group's Data Strategy initiative.
Additionally, you will play a vital role in the broader Financial Control framework, encompassing statutory reporting, critical assessments, audit committee documentation, and risk reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the precise production and timely submission of relevant FCA and BoE statistical reports, including presenting these returns to the PF Financial Controller and Finance Director for approval.
  • Oversee the Regulatory Reporting Control Framework, maintaining comprehensive documentation of interpretations, judgments, and standard operating procedures for all regulatory submissions.
  • Champion the regulatory reporting transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on streamlining existing processes, enhancing data sourcing, and maintaining a clear audit trail for all submissions while providing subject matter expertise to the Group's Data Strategy program.
  • Lead the implementation of new reporting requirements and respond to ad hoc regulatory inquiries as necessary.
  • Stay informed about reporting obligations, regulatory updates, and industry developments.
  • Assist the PF Financial Controller with additional responsibilities, including statutory reporting, key judgments, audit committee documentation, and risk reporting.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
  • Proven accounting experience and knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage large datasets.
  • Ability to operate within established policies and a strict control environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
Desirable Skills
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
  • Experience in Financial Services and familiarity with Regulatory Returns (Product Sales/MLAR/BTL).
