Job Summary

Trew, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the tax compliance and reporting functions for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and local sales and use tax laws and regulations.
  • Reconcile Accounts: Reconcile accounts monthly for accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Ensure GAAP Compliance: Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist with Closing Processes: Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and File Tax Returns: Prepare and file tax returns, conduct tax research, and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
  • Support Tax Planning and Audit Defense: Work closely with various departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and to support tax planning and audit defense initiatives.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to other members of the accounting team.
  • Research and Analyze Tax Issues: Research and analyze tax issues and provide recommendations to management.
  • Assist with External Audits and Tax Filings: Assist with external audits and tax filings.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Tax Laws and Regulations: Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Implement Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA Certification: CPA certification.
  • Minimum 5 Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong Tax Knowledge: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Tax Preparation Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software.
  • Experience with Thomas Reuters OneSource Tax Software: Experience with Thomas Reuters OneSource tax software.
