Position Overview
As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of monthly and quarterly regulatory submissions to the Financial Conduct Authority, Bank of England, and other pertinent organizations.
Reporting directly to the Personal Finance Financial Controller and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, you will ensure the timely delivery of the Group's Regulatory Reporting while also identifying opportunities for process enhancements and improvements related to regulatory reporting within the Group's Data Strategy initiative.
Additionally, you will play a vital role in the broader Financial Control agenda, which includes statutory reporting, key judgments, audit committee documentation, and risk reporting.
In this role, you will be expected to:
  • Ensure the precise production and timely submission of relevant FCA and BoE statistical reports, including presenting these returns to the PF Financial Controller and Finance Director for review and approval.
  • Manage the Regulatory Reporting Control Framework, ensuring comprehensive documentation of interpretations, judgments, and standard operating procedures for all regulatory submissions.
  • Lead initiatives for regulatory reporting enhancements and continuous improvement, focusing on streamlining processes, optimizing data sourcing, maintaining a clear audit trail for all submissions, and providing subject matter expertise for the Group's Data Strategy program.
  • Oversee the implementation of new reporting requirements and respond to ad hoc regulatory inquiries as necessary.
  • Stay informed about reporting requirements, regulatory changes, and industry developments.
  • Assist the PF Financial Controller with additional responsibilities, including statutory reporting, key judgments, audit committee documentation, and risk reporting.
Qualifications
Essential:
  • Proven accounting experience and knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets effectively.
  • Experience working within established policies and a strict control environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
Desirable:
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
  • Experience in Financial Services and familiarity with Regulatory Returns (Product Sales/MLAR/BTL).
