About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Private Client Solicitor to join our rapidly expanding team at Duncan & Toplis. As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of wills, lasting powers of attorney, and inheritance tax planning files, as well as working on probate matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents
  • Managing a Caseload of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Inheritance Tax Planning Files
  • Working on Probate Matters, Including Submitting IHT Paperwork to HMRC and the Probate Registry
  • Communicating with Clients and Third Parties
  • Assisting Paralegals and Secretaries with Queries
  • Meeting with Clients to Provide Advice on Private Client Law
  • Liaising with Colleagues Internally Regarding Client Matters
  • Ensuring Client Work is Progressed in a Timely Manner and Clients are Regularly Informed on Progress and Costs
About You

We are looking for a Newly Qualified Solicitor with a solid grounding in Private Client law, including wills, lasting powers of attorney, and inheritance tax planning. You will need to be able to draft documentation accurately, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and work with minimal supervision.

You will also need to possess good IT skills to operate Office and in-house programs, and be able to commute to our Grantham office.
