Governance Professional for Educational Boards (Mobile)
Working Hours: Term time only / Part-time with varied schedules including early evenings
The Governance Service is actively seeking to expand our Governance Professional team, which provides essential support to educational boards. This service is a key component of Norfolk County Council's initiative to uphold educational excellence, and our Governance Professionals play a vital role in assisting boards in reaching their objectives.
We are particularly interested in candidates from various regions.
Ideal candidates will possess:
Exceptional literacy, listening, and communication abilities Strong organizational skills and effective time management Confidence in providing procedural guidance when necessary Commitment to ensuring governance practices meet statutory and regulatory standards Availability for daytime and early evening work Experience in minute-taking, although training will be provided A valid driving license and personal transportation for access to rural areas with limited public transport (mileage reimbursed)Previous experience in a governance role is advantageous, but comprehensive training and ongoing support will be available for successful candidates.
The service operates across the county, necessitating travel. However, some boards may opt for virtual meetings, allowing for remote work opportunities.
