About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Palliative Care Specialist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine, you will be an integral member of our multidisciplinary team, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Paediatric Palliative Care, with a strong background in teaching, research, and clinical leadership. You will be responsible for promoting and supporting the delivery of all aspects of palliative and end-of-life care to our patients, working collaboratively with other teams and services to ensure seamless care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care and support to patients and families, working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring that our services are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the development of care plans and ensuring that all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for healthcare professionals, patients, and families, promoting best practice and improving care outcomes.
  • Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, working collaboratively with other teams and services to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
