We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Palliative Care Specialist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Louis Dundas Centre for Paediatric Palliative Care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions
  • Leading and contributing to the development of palliative care services
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways
  • Participating in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contributing to the education and training of healthcare professionals

Essential Criteria
  • GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice
  • MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics
  • CCT/CCST in Paediatric Palliative Medicine (PPM) or equivalent training and experience
Desirable Criteria
  • Higher degree – PhD, MD or equivalent
  • Formal teaching qualification
  • Leadership or management qualification
