Position Overview
Chew Medical Practice is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to oversee our nursing team and healthcare assistants while collaborating with the senior management team, including the Partners.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will engage in all facets of Primary Care nursing. Proficiency in managing chronic conditions, particularly diabetes and/or respiratory issues, is highly advantageous. In addition to supervising the nursing staff, you will play a vital role in a robust senior management team, assisting in the evaluation and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.

Job Duties
The successful candidate will be a seasoned nurse who, within their professional scope, will exhibit sound clinical judgment and provide expert care for patients. You will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to address patient needs, uphold policy and procedural standards, and offer leadership within the nursing team.
As the head of the nursing department, you will be responsible for the delivery of nursing services. You will manage all nursing resources, working closely with the clinical lead nurse, practice management, and GP partners to achieve the practice's objectives.
Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse (with the Nursing & Midwifery Council)
- Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development
- Commitment to maintaining fitness to practice in accordance with the nurse revalidation program
Desirable
- Experience in managing chronic conditions, particularly diabetes and/or respiratory issues.
