We are pleased to present an opportunity to become a part of our Keynsham service as an Evening Healthcare Nurse, operating from our dedicated health centre.

As a member of our compassionate and nurturing team of Community Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, you will find that personal growth and career advancement are prioritized, with collaboration being fundamental to our approach. Our facility is conveniently located near local amenities, ensuring ease of access for both staff and service users.

This is a part-time role, with typical service hours from 17:00 to 22:30 across three shifts. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance and assistance to housebound individuals in their residences, promoting their health and autonomy alongside a skilled healthcare assistant.

As an Evening Healthcare Nurse for the Keynsham team, your primary focus will be on the Keynsham and Saltford areas, along with a few surrounding villages.

A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential for fulfilling the duties of this role.

As a Community Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the comprehensive assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care for patients in their homes.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Providing advice and treatment recommendations by collaborating with GPs and other specialists within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assuming leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior staff.
  • Administering medications via various routes, including subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, transdermal, oral, and controlled substances, as well as providing palliative care, wound management, and IV therapy.
