About the Facility:

Sycamore Lodge, located in Nailsea, Bristol, accommodates up to 78 elderly individuals, including those living with dementia.

The care center features a stunning atrium that allows natural light to fill the building, providing residents and their families with a sense of the outdoors throughout the year.

We are in search of a caring and committed Care Home Nurse to join our team in delivering high-quality care to our elderly residents with conditions such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's, and other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:


• Evaluating patients' health and care requirements and formulating care plans


• Administering medications and observing residents' responses


• Delivering nursing care, including wound management and palliative support


• Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to provide personalized care


• Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting


• Offering emotional support to residents and their families


• Keeping accurate and current records


• Adhering to Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to maintain high care standards


• Contributing to the development and execution of policies and procedures


• Participating in the training and orientation of new staff members

Qualifications and Experience:


• NMC registered nurse


• Experience in elderly care, particularly with patients suffering from Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions


• Familiarity with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work effectively within a team


• Capability to work independently and demonstrate initiative


• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Salary: £22.59 per hour

Working Hours: as and when required, shift times are 07:45-20:15 or 20:00-08:00
