About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Salaried General Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Aldersbrook Medical Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical services to registered patients, ensuring excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with our GP team to develop and implement practice-wide initiatives, improving patient care and services.
  • Participate in practice development, contributing to the growth and success of our medical centre.
  • Deliver extended hours on a rota basis, ensuring comprehensive coverage for our patients.
  • Assess and take accountability for own performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Conduct telephone consultations and triage, handling pathology and radiology results, and responding to clinical letters and queries.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with our accepted prescribing formulary, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Compile and issue computer-generated prescriptions, reviewing and updating patient records as necessary.
  • Teach and supervise students, GP registrars, nurses, and other attached placement doctors, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Contribute to practice audit, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and services.

  • GP qualification
  • Desirable: MRCGP qualification
  • Essential: Experience of working in General Practice in the UK for at least 1 year
  • Desirable: GP Trainer experience
