Patient Flow Specialist

The purpose of this role is to utilize patient administration and operational systems to actively validate, track, and manage referral to treatment processes in a patient's pathway and 18-week target.
Main Responsibilities- To analyze situations and issues relating to patient pathways and provide quality-assured solutions.
- To work in line with standard procedures and demonstrate an ability to organize and prioritize work schedules.
- To manage time effectively, display initiative, and meet deadlines.
- To monitor and have ownership of data quality indicators impacting RTT pathways and make recommendations for corrections or improvements.
- To navigate administration and clinical systems, use Whittington Health information systems to monitor patient pathway progression, and observe legal and Trust data confidentiality, security, and quality requirements.
- To work with a 'problem-solving approach' to identify solutions resolving daily issues and escalate where appropriate.
- To assess complex pathways and correct appropriately and thoroughly.
- To implement improvements to the administrative element of the RTT pathway and proactively identify emerging issues that may cause delays.
