Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team as a Patient Flow Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the flow of patients through our hospital, ensuring efficient and effective care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the scheduling and flow of patients through our hospital, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Work closely with our clinical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Monitor and manage patient flow to prevent delays and ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Triage urgent and emergency referrals to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Plan and coordinate daily caseloads to ensure efficient use of surgical theatres, imaging suites, and anaesthesia personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including anaesthetic and hospitalisation records.
  • Collaborate with our Head of Nursing and Lead Nurses to ensure strong clinical and operational performance within the nursing team.
  • Support the implementation of cat-friendly and dog-friendly standards across the hospital.
  • Assist with clinical tasks as needed to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification.
  • Experience in a referral hospital or busy hospital environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
