Lead Medicine Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our multidisciplinary veterinary hospital in West London as a Lead Medicine Registered Veterinary Nurse. The successful candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology, and will be responsible for leading a team of nurses in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care within internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology services.
  • Lead and guide the internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology teams to achieve the hospital's goals.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards and infection control.
  • Coordinate patient flow and case scheduling across departments.
  • Oversee inpatient care and implement nursing care plans.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication within the teams.
  • Assist in developing a skills matrix for nursing within the relevant services.
  • Support cat-friendly and dog-friendly standards throughout the hospital.
  • Use incident reporting tools to reflect on patient care improvements.
