Your Role:

As an integral member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the underwriting process and enhancing our portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance metrics of the portfolio and individual agreements; responsible for analyzing dashboards and key indicators to assess trends and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with various Digital Underwriting teams, including actuarial, data science, and business intelligence, to optimize the portfolio. Make informed recommendations regarding aggregate optimization, eligibility rule modifications, and market pricing strategies.
  • Assist in the underwriting, onboarding, and integration of new agreements and partnerships.
  • Maintain Digital Underwriting guidelines and documentation, working closely with the product team to adapt or create new product rules and requirements.
  • Support Underwriters during the annual planning cycle, preparing materials for the Underwriting Committee, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other necessary committees.
  • Engage with clients by addressing underwriting, accounting, and technical inquiries.
  • Manage diaries and prepare for meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all documentation is ready prior to meetings. Distribute notes and follow up on action items.
  • Assist with Underwriting Reviews as needed, which may involve gathering information, drafting findings and recommendations, and ensuring follow-up on the implementation of recommendations.

  • Set and achieve development goals through commitments and constructive feedback, utilizing available resources for support.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in underwriting or assisting with US property insurance or re-insurance.
  • A collaborative team player capable of coordinating the needs of multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • A proactive self-starter with the confidence to make real-time decisions.
  • A foundational understanding of standard insurance terminology, coverages, and metrics.
  • Experience in evaluating exposure data is desirable.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
