We are seeking an ambitious Sales Manager to contribute to our client's continued growth and success in the commercial sector. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business development, managing and growing a small, effective sales team, and developing new client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a sales team of up to 4 Business Development Managers (BDMs)
- Hold weekly meetings with BDMs and provide monthly reports to the Director
- Actively participate in monthly Board meetings
- Recruit and interview new BDMs
- Drive new business development, including cold calling and client relationship management
- Oversee the CRM system and ensure accurate sales activity records
- Prepare account documentation and client information packs
- Attend sales meetings, seminars, exhibitions, and client entertainment events as required
- Work closely with both the sales and operations teams
- Proven B2B sales experience, preferably in the plumbing, drainage, or construction sectors (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills at all business levels
- Experience with HubSpot (preferred)
- Self-motivated with strong management capabilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online portals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent references
- Full driving licence
- Proven success in a similar role
- Business acumen, strong organisational skills, and the ability to delegate and motivate
