Senior Highway Maintenance Operative

Position Overview
An opportunity has emerged for a Senior Highway Maintenance Operative within the dedicated Highway Team responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the road and pathway infrastructure.
We are looking for a dependable, diligent, and motivated team leader to enhance our accomplished team, undertaking a variety of tasks including surface repairs, drainage solutions, and pathway restoration, alongside general road construction and maintenance duties.
The Highways Team prides itself on a proactive approach, emphasizing the delivery of exceptional quality work for all users of the highway.
Applicants must showcase a solid history in a supervisory capacity within the road maintenance or construction sector, coupled with a progressive mindset to ensure the service continues to thrive and improve.
A valid clean driving license is mandatory, ideally with Category C1 qualification. If C1 qualification is not currently held, the selected candidate will be expected to pursue LGV driver training within six months of employment, progressing to category C+E and subsequently performing driving tasks as required.
An NRSWA Operative certificate is crucial, along with a comprehensive understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations pertinent to roadworks.
This role involves a standard 37-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, with opportunities for additional overtime on a scheduled basis and voluntary standby duties.
